What are the properties and uses of Peek materials?

PEEK (polyetheretherketone), as a high-performance special engineering plastic, has the following comprehensive properties and multi field applications:
1、 Core performance characteristics
High temperature resistance
Long term use temperature is 260 ℃, short-term tolerance is 300 ℃, and the load heat deformation temperature reaches 316 ℃.
Mechanical properties
Tensile strength 90~100 MPa, bending strength>170 MPa; After carbon fiber reinforcement, the strength increases by 50% and the rigidity is higher.
Wear resistant and self-lubricating
The friction coefficient is as low as that of metal lubrication, and the wear resistance is 5 times that of copper/iron, making it suitable for high-frequency moving parts.
Chemical stability
Acid and alkali resistant, organic solvents (except concentrated sulfuric acid), excellent hydrolysis resistance under high temperature and high pressure.
Other characteristics
Flame retardancy reaches UL94-V level (without additives);
Biocompatibility is determined by the implant standard (ASTM F2026);
Transparent to X-rays, convenient for medical imaging monitoring.
