  • Release time: 2025-07-01

In the 1960s, Union Carbide Corporation (UCC) of the United States completed the development of polyarylethersulfone (PSF) and achieved industrial production in 1965 as Udel ® PSU is sold under the product name. In 1976, UCC launched the Polyphenylsulfone Radel ® R, In 1983, the polyphenylene sulfone Radel was launched again ® A. In 1986, Amoco Polymers acquired the PSF operating rights from UCC Corporation. In 1987, BASF in Germany began producing and selling PSF under the trade name Ultrason ® S. The development of PSF in China was first initiated by Tianjin Materials Research Institute in 1966, and a 100 ton/year production facility was built in 1969. Subsequently, Shanghai Shuguang Chemical Plant, Shanghai Shupeng Special Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd., and others have also engaged in the production of polyphenylene ether sulfone, but the scale and duration are limited. In recent years, enterprises such as Guangdong Youju Advanced New Materials Co., Ltd. have achieved large-scale industrial production of polyphenylene ether sulfone through independent research and development.
